ROOK & BOLT / PRIVACY

YOUR FEEDBACK.
KEPT PRIVATE.

This website saves the information you choose to submit so the developer can run the beta and improve the game. It sends no emails.

What we save

A beta signup saves your email address, a timestamp and a record that you accepted this notice. An issue report or idea saves its fields, timestamp, reference number and any optional contact email. Screenshots are saved with the report after being converted to WebP; original file names and embedded image metadata are not retained.

How it is used

Beta records help keep track of testers. Reports, screenshots and ideas help investigate problems and guide development. They are private to the developer and are not published on the site. Submitting an email does not verify ownership of that address or subscribe you to a mailing list.

Storage and access

Submissions are stored on the website’s server, in private folders blocked from direct web access. The developer accesses them through the hosting account. Hosting providers may also keep their own server access logs and backups.

Cookies and spam protection

An essential session cookie keeps forms secure and remembers beta download access in this browser for up to two hours. It is not an advertising or analytics cookie. The site uses a keyed hash of the connecting IP address and the hour to limit repeated submissions; the raw address is not written into submission records. No tracking pixels or third-party fonts are loaded.

Retention and removal

Submission records are kept for up to 12 months unless the developer removes them sooner. Temporary upload data and expired session/rate-limit files are routinely removed. Backups follow the hosting provider’s retention settings.

To request removal, use Report an issue, select “Something else” and include the submission reference or beta email. Avoid including additional sensitive information. Requests are reviewed manually; this website does not send email confirmations. Someone else knowing a reference or address does not automatically authorize them to change your data.

Before uploading

Check screenshots for personal information, account details and private messages. Only upload material you are comfortable sharing with the developer.
